FIT

WHO THIS IS FOR,
AND WHO IT ISN'T.

Being told this is not for you is a legitimate and useful outcome of the first conversation. It is faster and cheaper than finding out in month three.

Life By Design › Who It's For

It fits when

  • The business is working and the life around it is not. Revenue is fine; margin, presence and peace are gone.
  • You cannot tell whether the growth is going anywhere you chose. Everything is busy and the direction is unexamined.
  • You keep making the same commitment and not keeping it. You know what to do. You are not doing it.
  • Something happened. A health scare, a hard conversation at home, a number that finally got looked at.
  • You are rebuilding. Starting over with a past you have to account for and a next chapter to construct.

It does not fit when

  • You want validation for a decision already made. This process will question it, which is not what you are shopping for.
  • You are unwilling to change your calendar. Every outcome here eventually lands on the calendar. If that is not negotiable, nothing else will move.
  • You need customers, not structure. Pre-revenue with no proven offer is a sales and offer problem.
  • You are in genuine financial distress. An attorney and a CPA first. Coaching is the wrong tool and the wrong spend.
  • The real issue is clinical. Depression, addiction, grief and burnout past a certain point need care, not a planning worksheet. Saying so plainly is part of the job.

If you are in crisis in the United States, 988 reaches the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and 911 is for immediate danger.

If you only want half of it

Three adjacent options, and the honest steer toward each:

If the problem isGo here
Nobody knows who owns the next step; the business cannot run without youBusiness consulting — structural
You know what to do as an operator and are not doing itBusiness coaching — behavioural
Work is repeated, handoffs break, follow-up depends on memoryAI-first operations
All of the above, and the life around itThis

Most people need one of the first three. That is not a smaller problem, just a narrower one.

What you do not need to bring

You do not need a perfect past, a polished image, or a business already figured out. Several of the people this work fits best arrive with the opposite of all three.

What it does require is honesty, willingness, and the courage to take the next right step — including when the next right step is unflattering, boring, or something you have been avoiding for a year.

Frequently asked

Questions people actually ask

Do I have to be a business owner?

No, though most people here are. The framework works for anyone whose work and life have stopped fitting together, but the examples lean toward owners and investors.

Is being told 'not yet' common?

Common enough to be worth saying up front. Capacity and sequencing issues are often better addressed elsewhere first.

What if my spouse is skeptical?

Reasonable, especially if previous efforts consumed time and produced nothing. The intake asks whether they should be involved, and involving them early is usually better than presenting a finished plan.

Can I start with something free?

Yes. The written material across this network is free and there is a free learning community. Use those first — if they are not useful to you, a paid process will not rescue it.

Is there an outcome guarantee?

No. Anyone attaching a number or a timeline to a coaching relationship is selling something they cannot deliver.

Make your next move

A year from now, what will you be glad you started today?

You don't need another promise that everything will be easy. You need something useful to learn — and a next step you're willing to take.
